How can your major make the world a better place

Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about how I think architecture affects the world, several colleagues who study architecture know that this was affected in the industrial revolution when new materials appeared which have given the possibility of creating iconic buildings of today. In saying this I try to say that architecture is changing with respect to the materials that are emerging, this can make great changes in how you can inhabit a space, in general architecture is one of the specialties that most pollutes, since the materials have high rates of CO2, in addition, the process that is required to prepare these materials, this causes a great pollution in the earth. Currently and thanks to many studies have been creating materials that pollute much less, I have even chosen to add sustainable spaces in some buildings, these mainly help to reduce the rates of CO2 that produce the building. Nowadays architecture has managed to create the possibility of creating a set ...

A photo and its story

Hello everyone. On Thursday I had the opportunity to go take photographs for a workshop job and we met with some friends, it was something very cheerful and nostalgic at the same time, since I did not see them long ago (in person, since we have gathered by video calls). This is the "Plaza de Armas" building located next to the Cathedral of Santiago. We decided to get together on the subway to make it easier but, in the end we ran into on the street, I think I had never run or joked on the street like I did that day hahaha, being able to joke in person was the best, we walked to the building that we had to evaluate and we entered in a not very "legal" way since we entered with the excuse of going to cut our hair on one of the floors. (something we didn't do hahaha) we were walking through many floors taking pictures and joking (several times we thought some guard would catch us), in the end when we took everything we needed we left the place and decided to go...

my favorite food

Hello everyone! One of my favorite dishes is the fried egg puree, it is a very simple meal since they are only ground potatoes with milk and butter accompanied by a fried egg. This very simple dish only requires puree (ideallyit ishomemade) and an egg, to prepare the puree depends on the portions that are required, but its main ingredients are potatoes, milk, butter and salt and clear an egg. The first thing is to peel, chop and sew the potatoes in boiling water with salt, once cooked they are ground, butter and milk are added to taste, mix and ready! The next step would be to fry the egg, I think we all know it takes to fry an egg, but we only need oil and salt, once ready it is served on a plate and to eat. It is a very simple dish, but it brings back memories of my childhood, so it has made it very special for me, because when I was little, My tonsils used to become inflamed so at lunchtime it always hurt, but when they made me puree with eggs it was the best as I mixe...

My Favourite Piece of Technology

I think my favorite technological tool is the cell phone, in addition to having an app to hang out, I can organize my times in a better way, as well as being able to have contact with everyone more quickly. This last year I have spent much more time in it since this way I can talk with friends who live further away due to the pandemic, also when I have to go shopping I can listen to music instead of listening to ambient noise.  I think I had my first cell phone when I was 10 or 11 years old, when my father gave me a Samsung Galaxy Ace from there I have had 3 cell phones and they have all been Samsung, I think I really like Samsung, without mention that my headphones are from that brand hahaha.  Currently I think that I am so dependent on the cell phone that every time I go out to buy and do not wear my hearing aids, I just want to rush to buy, also I always carry it in my hands I think it has become a habit, luckily it has never been stolen.  I think that currently ...

Why did I choose my major?

Hello everybody. I remember most of my childhood playing with building materials, pieces of wood, screws, bricks that were left over, they never let me play with pieces of steel because they told me that I could cut myself. so I think I always wanted to study something related to construction, I never thought or imagined myself with a profession so I could not say one exactly, but I think it was when I was 12 years old when I decided that I would go for a career that was related to the construction of buildings and the first thing I thought was to be a civil engineer in construction, I had that idea until I was almost 17 years old, Until my father told me that I could study architecture, at first I was very hesitant to study architecture because I thought I would have to know how to draw very well and it's something I'm not good at hahaha, but when I met a she architect and told her I had the idea of being an   architect, she told me about her experiences and I think that ...
