How can your major make the world a better place
Hello everyone!
Today I will tell you about how I think architecture affects the world,
several colleagues who study architecture know that this was affected in the
industrial revolution when new materials appeared which have given the
possibility of creating iconic buildings of today.
In saying this I try to say that architecture is changing with respect to
the materials that are emerging, this can make great changes in how you can
inhabit a space, in general architecture is one of the specialties that most
pollutes, since the materials have high rates of CO2, in addition, the process
that is required to prepare these materials, this causes a great pollution in
the earth.
Currently and thanks to many studies have been creating materials that
pollute much less, I have even chosen to add sustainable spaces in some
buildings, these mainly help to reduce the rates of CO2 that produce the
building.
Nowadays architecture has managed to create the possibility of creating a
set of actions within a space, an example of this is a tower of 15 floors,
where the first floors can be of commerce, some floors of the middle offices
and the last houses, and the roof can be a useful space to be able to install
photovoltaic panels to generate electricity in a sustainable way, in general architecture
manages to create spaces for the development of society, inaddition, to be able to study together with urban planners the best
ways to be able to promote eco-friendly societies.
Mainly I see myself working in wood, since nowadays wood is seen as one of
the materials with less carbon footprint, although it is a little contradictory
since to be able to have that material you must cut down trees, but this is
achieved by enhancing the afforestation of these trees that work to produce
sustainable wood that is as it is called.

I also think that wood is somewhat contradictory hahaha, I like that you are looking for a way to reduce your carbon footprint.
ResponderEliminarWow, I think it's great that materials are created that don't pollute the environment as much, and I think wood is a precious material.
ResponderEliminarI always forget that the construction of a building always has to take into account the carbon footprint. That concept has not been talked about much in the race and I think it is very important to keep it in mind.
ResponderEliminarI was also surprised that the use of wood could be sustainable, but it is understandable since instead of burning it and releasing carbon into the atmosphere it is used in wooden structures that ultimately fix the carbon and do not release it.
